It took me 25 years to learn that what my grandmother said about other people was not true. She brought me up; I belong to one of the first generations of children with divorced parents and was "delegated" to my mother's parents.
I can sense this although "rational" understanding of this is nearly impossible: my life now, when I am 30, has too much of what my parents did or not, my caretakers thought and said, my loved ones gave and took.
